Who is responsible
This site is published by Jean Frías, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. For any privacy matter, write to jeangfrias@gmail.com.
What data is collected and why
- Contact and invitation forms: your name, your email and whatever you write (for example institution, city, date or message). They reach Jean by email so he can reply and coordinate. The IP address and country the message was sent from are noted with it, only to prevent abuse and automated messages. The site does not keep the messages in any database.
- Newsletter: your email (and your name, if you give it) to send you news. It is managed by Brevo, which asks you to confirm the subscription by email. You can unsubscribe from any email you receive.
- Visit statistics: Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics count visits in aggregate (pages viewed, country, device type). The site also has its own anonymous counter: for each visit it notes only the page, where the visit came from (for example, Google or Instagram) and the country, and it counts WhatsApp clicks and forms sent, all as daily totals, with no cookies or IP addresses. They show which content is useful; they are not used for advertising.
- Meeting scheduling: the calendar on the contact page is provided by Cal.com. If you book a meeting, your data is processed by Cal.com under its own policy.
- YouTube videos: they load only when you press play, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode; thumbnails are shown from YouTube's image servers. The list of videos, their details (title, length, views) and the channel figures come from the YouTube API Services. By watching those videos you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google processes data under its Privacy Policy.
- Instagram posts: the photos shown are served by this site itself; Instagram receives no data about your visit unless you open the link.
- Security: Cloudflare, the hosting provider, processes technical data such as the IP address to protect the site against attacks.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics does use cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete them in your browser and the site will work the same.
Who it is shared with
Your data is never sold or handed over to anyone. It is processed only by the providers that run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, security and form delivery), Brevo (newsletter), Google (statistics, and YouTube for the videos) and Cal.com (scheduling). Some of them process data outside the Dominican Republic.
How long it is kept
Form messages stay in Jean's email for as long as they are useful to reply to you or for the relationship that follows. The subscription lasts until you unsubscribe. Statistics are kept for at most 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your data, or to withdraw your consent, by writing to jeangfrias@gmail.com. Requests are handled under Dominican Republic Law 172-13 on personal data protection.
Minors
If you are under 18 and want to invite Jean to your school, ask a teacher, a parent or a guardian to write for you.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with its date.
